I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Plant Pathology program, where I study plant virus evolution. My research focuses on the evolutionary history of tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) and how it shapes the virus’s spread across different host species in North Carolina. I am passionate about understanding virus evolution and explore plant virus epidemiology that can support growers and the broader agricultural community. Outside of the lab, I enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities. I recently welcomed a miniature Australian Shepherd named Kiwi, who keeps life extra fun and adventurous.
