Shi Cen joined the lab in 2022 as a Ph.D. student in Bioinformatics and his research interest lies in developing algorithms and statistical methods for recombination detection and breakpoint inference. Before joining the lab, he got his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in food science and technology from Jiangnan University in China, where he worked on the relationship between the human gut microbiome and human health, and comparative genomics of probiotics. In Shi’s free time, he enjoys K-pop music.
